The Ask: Highdive Chicago gave us the brief and we pitched it to the Rold Gold Team: How can Rold Gold make their brand awareness (85% in the pretzel category) transfer to sales while also introducing their new Selects line of products?

VENDING MACHINE

Rold Gold will place vending machines in high-traffic areas such as office break rooms and college quads to promote their new Selects product line. Each person using the vending machine will get a little surprise with their purchase: they will get not one, but two bags of Rold Gold pretzels. The extra “surprise” bag will be a new Selects flavor.

ACTIVATION: THE SIMS

Rold Gold will partner with The Sims 4. Within the game, after reaching a certain number of “simple pleasures” for your Sim (like turning on the TV, taking a nap, getting the mail, etc.), they will be gifted a bag of Rold Gold. This bag of Rold Gold can be eaten by your Sim for all their needs (Hunger, Energy, Bladder, Hygiene, Social, Fun), allowing for 7 Sim days of unrestricted max potential gameplay. 

 

This will be for a limited time and launch on National Pretzel Day, April 26th.

 

With the online version, you will receive a redeemable coupon when their Sim obtains a bag of Rold Gold, which can be traded for a discounted in-store purchase of Rold Gold.
